Rates and Policies at Sandpoint Tattoo

Largest selection of body jewelry in town!

At Sandpoint Tattoo we do not charge by the hour. We charge by how big the piece is, how much detail is in it and if you are doing black work or color. If you would like to get a quote for a tattoo you can email us at sandpointtattoo@gmail.com with the picture of your design, your  name, how big you would like it and if you want black work or color, then we will get back to you as soon as we can :) Or you can just stop by the shop!

Sandpoint Tattoo does now take appointments, but does not charge for the appointment itself, only the work that is done at the appointment, taking money for an appointment up front is not an ethical way of doing business because if the client misses the appointment, or is late, keeping the money for them not showing is ripping them off.

Sandpoint Tattoo does not charge a sitting fee either. That is just another rip off.

Sandpoint Tattoo does not have a "minimum charge requirement" for its services either, another rip off!

Under Idaho state law, no one can be tattooed or pierced (except the earlobe!) who is under the age of 14. At Sandpoint Tattoo we will not tattoo or pierce anyone under the age of 16. Sorry kids, but we feel most individuals are not ready for a tattoo or piercing at that young of an age. All persons must provide a valid photo I.D., and all minors must have a parent or verifiable legal guardian present with photo I.D. to sign our parental consent form. Legal guardians must provide the court awarded documentation for our inspection. It's all for the minors protection.

By law, it is illegal to tattoo or pierce a minor in a private area, so don't ask us to.

As a matter of record, Sandpoint Tattoo has never had any reported instance of any communicable disease being transmitted to any of it's clients. No Hepatitis, No A.I.D.S./HIV, No Staph Infections ! How many studios can say that ?

As ethical artists who care about the safety of their clients, they use only new sterile needles and upon finishing a tattoo, give the needle bars to the client to dispose of. They do not recycle any part of the needle bars.

All clients are provided with a complete written care instruction sheet to take home with them.

Do not be afraid to ask to see sterilization equipment at Sandpoint Tattoo, they use hospital techniques and procedures including ultrasonic cleaning in addition to sterilization for machine tubes before usage.
